Giving Thanks | 2024

THANK YOU to all those who participated and contributed to this year’s Live PC Give PC. The event wrapped up on November 15th, and it was a heroic effort, raising over $5.1 Million from 7,042 generous donors. The funds will aid the efforts of some of our most cherished local charities and nonprofits here in Park City and the Wasatch Back. See below for a few of the organizations that will benefit from this year's contributions.

We are incredibly thankful to have snow back in our lives! Winter weather arrived just in time to allow Park City Resort to open a few days ago, and Deer Valley just announced plans to open a week early this coming Friday, November 29th. Woodward has their tubing park up and running, and their ski and snowboard operations are on track to open at the end of this week.

As the snow starts flying and we embark upon another season of winter recreation in our mountains, we would be remiss if we didn’t take a moment to express gratitude for some of the folks who work tirelessly behind the scenes to promote and protect our fabulous winter sports culture here in Park City and the Wasatch Back. The Snow Globe Stroll features seven life-size snow globes, each themed around different holiday songs including “Last Christmas,” “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” “Frosty the Snowman,” “Winter Wonderland,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “Let It Snow!,” and “Happy Holiday.” Passersby can enjoy festive Historic Park City holiday decorations including Santa’s mailbox and Main Street Christmas tree. View Snow Globe Map

The CREATE PC Holiday Makers Market is a creative marketplace that celebrates local makers by allowing local entrepreneurs and artists to sell and showcase their creative products and tell their stories to the community.

21st ANNUAL LYNDEN LEGACY TURKEY TROT

Grab your family and friends and join the 20th annual Midway Turkey Trot 5k!​ All proceeds will go to the Lynden Legacy Foundation whose goal is to provide resources and support for those caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia.​ This is a great race for everybody from the competitive runner to the leisurely walker.

Kick off the holiday season with the 8th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Canyons Village, complete with fireworks, hot cocoa, and festive cheer for the whole family.

Ted Ligety’s story showcases his transformation from a hardworking kid at Park City Mountain to a two-time Olympic gold medalist and five-time giant slalom champion. Despite setbacks, Ligety’s perseverance led to redemption and iconic wins, including a legendary second run in 2014. Now, as a Deer Valley Resort ambassador, he shares his passion for the sport with his young family.
