It’s official – the 2034 Winter Olympic Games are coming to Utah! The International Olympic Committee awarded the Games to Salt Lake City on Wednesday following an official vote that was held as part of the runup to 2024 Paris Summer Games that begin this week.
This is huge news for Park City and the Wasatch Back, as our communities will host many events and Olympics-related activities. Full details and plans are still in development, but an outline of proposed event locations was reported by the Park Record earlier this summer. We'll keep you posted as further details emerge over the coming weeks, months, and years.
In the meantime, we have additional breaking news in the form of the latest market stats! The numbers for the 2nd Quarter of 2024 were just released by the Park City Board of Realtors, and we have provided a quick snapshot of these numbers below.
