UTAH NAMED BEST – AGAIN!

The latest US News “Best State” Rankings were published at the end of last month, and Utah was named the top state in the USA – for the fourth year in a row! Utah scores highly for its strong economy, fiscal stability, and infrastructure. Let's keep the streak going and see if we can get to five years in a row!

SUPER EL NIÑO = SUPER SNOW?

You’ve probably heard by now that we appear to be headed for a “Super” El Niño weather pattern this coming fall and winter season, and perhaps one of the strongest El Niño events on record. So what does that mean for our ski season here in Utah?  Here in northern Utah, we are kind of in between two zones of typical El Niño impacts – with areas to the north of us typically experiencing drier-than-average conditions, and areas to the south of us typically experiencing wetter-than-average conditions. That said, the blockbuster ski season of 1982-83 here in Utah was a very strong El Niño year, so maybe we are setting up for another big one this year!

UAC BACKCOUNTRY BENEFIT
